Ainge Adding Offers

Kimball Union Academy guard Crew Ainge has been on a tear in recent weeks, putting up huge numbers and scoring two division I scholarship offers in the process.

The performance that seemed to catch everyone’s attention took place a few weeks back on January 30th when he scored 35 points against Brewster Academy and their four high-major bound guards, going 4-9 from behind the three-point line and 15-17 from the free-throw line.

He followed that up with a triple-double a few nights later, leading KUA to a commanding 71-47 win over Holderness and finishing with 11 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

Last week began with a 25 point performance against Tilton and ended with a full division I scholarship offer when Binghamton head coach Tom Dempsey came calling.

It’s been more of the same this week, beginning with a 29 point performance against Wilbraham and Monson on Monday. Tuesday brought another division I scholarship offer, this one from UNC Greensboro, while Wednesday was a win over Proctor Academy.

Ainge might not be done yet though as KUA continues to fight for a post-season berth. They currently hold a record of 13-10 with three AA games on the horizon in the next week.

Below are some of Ainge’s highlights from the first half of the season.
