Adams Will Transfer to Brewster

Rumors of Jalen Adams’ transfer to Brewster Academy hit twitter on Monday.

While the rumors are indeed true, Adams had yet to formally withdraw from Cushing on Monday and had intended not to publicize his decision until he had the chance to speak with people at his former school, tops among them head coach Barry Connors.

“I had a great experience at Cushing,” Adams said.  “I’m proud to have graduated from there and of the things we were able to do on the court together.”

The Penguins won back-to-back NEPSAC Class AA champions with Adams and Syracuse bound point guard Kaleb Joseph leading the way in the backcourt.

Adams made a verbal commitment to UConn in late June, just prior to the opening of the July evaluation period and is now set to spend his post-graduate season at Brewster Academy, where he’ll team with Donovan Mitchell to form one of the nation’s best backcourts.

Adams and Mitchell are likely to be the top two ranked prospect in New England when updated rankings come out later this month, but Adams said he is looking forward to playing with another high level guard and thinks they’ll have no problem sharing the backcourt together.

Also on Monday, Adams’ latest highlight video was released care of Ball is Life.
