Jean-Guillaume Takes D2 Scholarship

Wednesday was a big day for basketball at Trinity Catholic High School.

On the same day that Tevin Baskin called a press conference to announce that he would be attending Quinnipiac University, senior guard Eric Jean-Guillaume finalized his plans to attend Franklin Pierce as he finally signed his National Letter of Intent.

Jean-Guillaume had been rumored to be on his way to the Ravens for about a month now, but it wasn’t until Wednesday that it finally became official.

“They’re already a good team,” Jean-Guillaume told the New England Recruiting Report.  “They just need a point guard and I feel like I can step into that role.”

He’ll be joining Andrew Fenstermaker, Nicco Demasco, and Josh Jones in Franklin Pierce’s incoming recruiting class.

Jean-Guillaume may be the most prepared of that group to make an immediate impact as he is a pure scorer who has a long history of success during the course of his career at Trinity Catholic.

He has started in the Crusader backcourt since his sophomore season and helped Trinity Catholic to one FCIAC championship, the state finals in his junior season, and an undefeated regular season this past year.  As a senior, Jean-Guillaume averaged over 15 points per game en route to earning All-FCIAC first team honors as well as being named to the All-State second team.
