Vermont Academy had a "bye" in this weekend's prep school schedule and that gave quite a few of VA's top players the opportunity to take weekend visits. Updated rankings have now been released in New England's 2016 class including all six states as well as the top 40 prospects in the region overall. First year products have been included for the first time and that means players like Omari Spellman, Eddie Ekiyor, Travis Atson, Jovan Grujic, and Kevin Marfo are all making their debut in the rankings. Vermont Academy has been in the news lately with Bruce Brown considering a move back to his original class of 2015, Tyrique Jones and Samuel Japhet-Mathias both adding to their high-major scholarship offers, and Ronnie Suggs continuing to be one of the best 2015 prospects left on the board. ESPN updated their national rankings in the classes of 2015, 2016, and 2017 on Wednesday and New England continued to be represented on all three lists. Jalen Adams continued to be the top ranked prospect in the region and among the top 25 in the ESPN 100.
