Binghamton University has tapped into the New England prep school market for the third time this year, this time landing a commitment from south Kent forward Romello Walker. Walker is a six-foot-six forward who came to South Kent from Dillard High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and has been a major factor behind the Cardinals' 8-1 start this season. Division III commitments continue to come in at a consistent rate following recent decisions from early applications. The latest local prospects to commit to the NESCAC, one of the nation’s most prestigious leagues because of the strong combination of academics and athletics, are Taft point guard Shawn Strickland and BB&N big man Nick Tarantino. St. Andrew's won three games in a matter of 36 hours to claim the title at the annual Roxbury Latin-Belmont Hill Holiday Tournament this weekend. They opened with a 60-40 win over St. Sebastian in a game in which head coach Mike Hart went to the bench early and often. Loomis Chaffee swingman Pat Dickert has become the latest player to commit to a NESCAC school after being accepted via early decision. The six-foot-two swingman will head to Colby College next year to play for third year head coach Damien Strahorn.
