ZG Battle for the Belt Preview

Zero Gravity will conclude their Massachusetts fall tournament schedule with the Battle For The Belt this weekend.  All champions crowned will be able to call themselves champions until the spring.  The field for this weekend is reflective of the talent in New England, as some of the best players in the region will certainly be duking it out all weekend long to get to Sunday afternoon.

The Varsity Division features two of New England finest programs: Middlesex Magic & Metro Boston.  Middlesex has kept filling their cabinet with trophies this spring, while Metro will be looking to knock them off and call themselves champions.  Mig's Team impressed, and Team Saints have had several players really break out so far this fall.  Boston Bobcats & Central Mass Swarm have steadily improved, while NE Playaz- Edgehill, Evolution, LOX & Mass Select will be looking to end the fall on a high note.

The 10th grade brackets have proven to have a whole lot of talent.  BABC established themselves as the class of the division, and will look to live up to their well-earned reputation to conclude the season.  It will not be easy, however, with Middlesex Magic looming.  The Magic will not go quietly not just because of their talent, but because they play a disciplined style of basketball that is hard to guard.  Bay State Flash, Mass Select, Boston Bobcats & Evolution should give these two teams a run for their money.

However, the bracket that looks to carry the most intrigue will be the 9th grade bracket.  With BABC and Boston Bobcats both winning championships this fall, they will look to collide in the finals on Sunday.  Similar to their older teams, Central Mass Swarm have improved each weekend of the season.  North Shore Bobcats & NH Flight will look to make some noise, as will Cobras & Premier Hoops.

As always, stay tuned to @NERRHoops, @ZeroGravityBB & @Sully_ZG for updates throughout the weekend.
