This Week’s Recruiting in Review

The second weekend of the April evaluation period is set to tip-off tonight with local teams traveling to Indianapolis, Atlanta, Pittsburgh and Providence.

But before we officially turn our attention toward the second of two weekends it's time to take one collective look back on all of the new offers and info to come out of last week's session.

The biggest winners were Putnam Science guard Hamidou Diallo and South Kent guard Tremont Waters, who run with New York Rens and Expressions Elite respectively, who pulled in offers from both Duke and Kentucky.

Commonwealth Academy power forward Hasahn French and St. Luke's swingman Walter Whyte, both of whom logged heavy minutes in supporting roles last weekend for the PSA Cardinals, proved you don't need to post big individual numbers to capture the attention of college coaches. French added offers from Marquette, Temple. Rutgers and St. Louis in the last week while Whyte was offered by Northeastern, Hostra, Penn, Vermont and William & Mary.

French's CA teammate Shyheim Hicks, who has joined the New England Playaz this spring, picked up his latest offer from Buffalo earlier in the week.

At the New Hampton School, Kimani Lawrence has put together back-to-back impressive weekends and pulled in an offer from Andy Enfield and USC as a result. Three other Huskies - Anthony Gaines, Kristers Zoriks and Walker Miller - added new offers this week after their first EYBL session with the Albany City Rocks. Gaines and Zoriks were offered by George Mason and Northeastern while Miller was offered by Lafayette.

Another City Rocks product, Northfield Mount Hermon sniper Andrew Platek earned new offers from DePaul and Harvard this week. NMH had a big man of their own add a Lafayette offer as well as Matt DeWolf, who stars for the Middlesex Magic, earned the invite from the Leapords. Jerome Desrosiers added an offer from New Hampshire after his breakout weekend with the New England Playaz in Dallas.

Vermont Academy and BABC big man Marcus Santos Silva was certainly one of the biggest stock risers of the first period as he pulled in new offers from DePaul, Boston College and Wagner. His teammate Bailey Patella added an offer from Siena.

At St. Andrew's, Aaron Wheeler earned his latest offer from new St. Louis head coach Travis Ford after his weekend in Dallas with the Mass Rivals while LaSalle followed suit on Thursday.

Fairfield Prep big man Patrick Harding, who ran with the New York Lightning last weekend, also earned an offer from a new staff when Columbia was in the gym on Wednesday.

At the Holderness School, sophomore swingman Philmon Gebrewhit reportedly picked up offers from Duquesne and St. Bonaventure this week after running with Expressions Elite's u16 squad last weekend while Marcus Zegarowski and Dana Tate, from Tilton and St. Sebastian's respectively, were reportedly offered by St. Bonaventure as well.

Granby High School and CBC freshman Jaiden Delaire earned his first D1 offer this weekend from UMass.

A few unsigned seniors added new offers this week as well. New Hampton's Donovan Love was offered by Niagara. Brimmer & May's Isaiah Fontaine offered by Eastern Kentucky. CCSU also offered St. Thomas More point guard Julian Batts.
