Recruits Flock to BC/Providence Game

Boston College hosted Providence College on Saturday afternoon in match-up of two of New England’s three high-major programs.

The game drew a variety of New England’s top recruits, many of whom are being recruited by both schools, among others.

Jared Terrell and Abdul-Malik Abu, who claim offers from both schools, were on hand after watching UConn defeat Fordham a night earlier in Hartford.  They were joined by their Expressions Elite teammate Alec Brennan.

Cushing Academy and Mass Rivals point guard Kaleb Joseph, who also holds scholarship offers from both schools, was also in attendance.

Class of 2015 prospects in attendance included Tabor Academy and New England Playaz big man Jarred Reuter, BABC and Tilton swingman Terance Mann, St. Mark’s forward Aaron Falzon, and Beaver Country Day swingman Jordan Scurry.

Canterbury guard Donovan Mitchell was also in attendance, and reportedly picked up his third high-major scholarship offer from Boston College before leaving campus.  Mitchell is a New York native currently in his first season in New England.

Ian Sistare returned to B.C. for his most recent visit, along with his NMH teammates and future Eagle walk-on Sam Donahue.

Ikenna Ndugba, a freshman guard from the Brooks School, was also on hand along with senior guard Rene Castro, who is already committed to Butler.

Boston College pulled out a 71-68 win, improving to 6-5 on the season, while Providence heads into the holiday break with an 8-3 record.
