Prep Championship Semifinals Set
With Tuesday's quarterfinal action in the books there are four teams left in contention for the 2016 National Prep Championship.
CoxHub will live stream all the action beginning with an 11a.m. semi-final between St. Thomas More School and Putnam Science Academy. The other semi-final will feature Hargrave Military Academy and Northfield Mount Hermon School at 1p.m.
The winners will meet in the championship game set for a 7:30p.m. tip. All three games will be live streamed on CoxHub.
Tuesday's action began with Fork Union Military knocking down a three with one second left on the clock to take a 62-61 win over Notre Dame Prep. Elev-8 Academy from Florida knocked off South Kent School 77-69 while Brewster Academy pulled away from IMG Academy 87-70 in the other opening round contests.
The quarterfinals began with a strong showing from Putnam Science, who knocked off DME Academy 93-66. St. Thomas More punched their ticket with a 76-53 win over Fork Union. On the other side of the bracket Hargrave was able to survive an inspired Brewster Academy effort for a 91-87 overtime decision. NMH earned a return to the semi-final with a 93-79 win over Elev-8 in the nightcap.
