Joshua Completes St. Anselm’s Class

St. Anselm’s completed their 2012 recruiting class on Thursday with a verbal commitment from Hamden Hall guard Victor Joshua.

Joshua, who was one of the best remaining players left available in New England’s class of 2012, is a scoring lead guard with smooth offensive attack.  He’s especially good in the mid-range area but also capable of getting all the way to the rim and a much improved three-point shooter.

Joshua has earned post-season accolades for consecutive years in NEPSAC and helped lead Hamden Hall to the 2011 Class C New England championship.  He saw consistent division I interest through his career and was the subject of wide-ranging recruitment from various Northeast-10 schools in recent weeks.

He becomes the fifth player to commit to St. Anselm’s in the class of 2012 joining: Phillips Andover forward Ryan Hartung; Clarkstown South (NY) forward Mike McCahey; Groton-Dunstable forward Kyle Romich; and Vermont transfer Chris Santo.
